Pageants

This pageant was created to provide a method of selecting a young lady to represent the PAD program.  This process will be made from those young ladies who have been selected to represent their various battalion in the PAD program.

This pageant will provide a means of raising funds for the various drill, baton, and flag teams uniforms and trips.  It also will provide a unique setting in which the young ladies can express themselves in a very high competitive situation.  This gives them a good foundation in which they can be competitive in other activities and in the challenges throughout their lives.  This pageant gives the contestants an opportunity to feel the magnitude of being special during the pageant competition which helps these young ladies to develop a high sense of confidence and self assurance.

The first PAD Pageant was developed in 1987 with queens from five (5) battalions and ten young ladies participated.  This pageant was held at Bennett College with Consuela Wray winning the title of “MISS PAD”.
