Key Levels

Of

The Women’s Support Group

 

 

  • First Key-Gate Keeper: This person is called a Gate Keeper because she has the option of leaving and/or returning to this program as many times as she wishes to do so. Must have attended at least 5 sessions to obtain the first key.

  • Second Key- Key Maker: This person is called a Key    Maker because they have attended at least 10 sessions and has completed the “Right of Passage” ceremony committing them to the confidentiality oath and acceptance of other members as Sisters.

  • Third Key- Key Owner: This person is called a Key Owner because they have attended at least 20 sessions and has completed the basic requirements of the program.

  • Community Commitment- Key Master (Fourth Key): This person is called the Key Master because they may facilitate the Women’s Support Group meetings, mentor a young lady for one year, or become an advocate for the Keys of Life Women’s Support Group.

 

The three major activities of the Women’s Support Group are:

 

  • The “Right of Passage” ceremony, which is a confidential activity.

  •  The “Crowning of the Keys” pageant, which is the highlight of the Key Owners introduction to the professional world of life.

  • The “Passing of the Keys” award ceremony in which the ladies are honored for the various levels they have achieved.
