The Community Board

 

This board is composed of members of various programs, organization’s, agencies, leaders of the community and others.

      This board functions to:

  • Assist in improving public relations through linkage with civic, business, and other community representatives

  • Provide additional and possibly more objective source for evaluating programs and policies

  • Be familiar with the organization’s goals, objectives, and programs and questions programs, policies, and practices that are not clear

  • Monitor the public image of the organization and insist that there be a well-established personal development program

This board will provide information to its clientele and the community regarding its mission that can improve the programs image in the community. Image building is one of the responsibilities of this board. Positive image will be built through sharing information. They include:

  • Newspaper articles and periodic reports

  • Television and radio programs or announcements

  • Newsletters, leaflets or flyers

Participation in church, civic, school and community affairs programs
